Meta Partners with Lionsgate to Bring 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

Panem is coming to life like never before. Meta is partnering with Lionsgate to bring The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping to theaters in 3D, and to Meta VR Glasses when they hit shelves in spring 2027. It's the first time Meta has partnered with a Hollywood studio to convert a feature film into 3D to support its theatrical release. 

Meta is deeply invested in giving audiences as many rich entertainment options as possible. For the 3D conversion of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, we teamed up with DNEG, an Oscar-winning leader in stereo 3D conversion for more than 15 years, and director Francis Lawrence, who directed the last five Hunger Games films, to bring the film to life in 3D. The film arrives in theaters nationwide on November 20, and advance tickets to experience it in 3D are on sale now. 

And the 3D experience doesn't end when the film leaves theaters. Starting in spring 2027, you'll be able to watch The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in 3D on Meta VR Glasses.

But you don’t have to wait until then to watch a wide variety of new TV shows and movies in VR.
